This is not a typical school setting. The Columbus Zoo does, however, administer a daily educational program to its visitors and extensive educational zoo camps during the summer months. The solar panels are on the top of the “my house” exhibit. This exhibit is part of the petting zoo area and is, therefore, visited by thousands of younger kids each year. The building is a habitat exhibit and it is constructed entirely of recycled materials from the Franklin County Landfill.
